FRANZ JOSEF (1) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time and stalked the lead before going on to record a half a length win over 7½f at this track. Will be tough to rein in again. MASCARET (12) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fifth over 1m at Randwick. One to watch for in the closing stages. LYRICAL GANGSTER (15) made a nice return two starts back then settled well back and found a few when 11th over 1m2f at this track two weeks ago. One of the chances based on his best recent efforts. TIME QUEST (8) used the inside draw to advantage last start, sitting on the pace and going on to score over 1m at Warwick Farm last time out. Should give a great sight.
