FLYING MAPLE (7) wasn't far off maiden success before a nine weeks break, finishing the prep with a minor placing at Mackay. Expect she has come on over the break. Looks the one to beat. RUMBLING BOY (5) finished third over 6½f at Mackay in a then missed the frame last time out over 6f at Mackay. Has good early speed. Nicely placed to open his account. JERIDAH (3) was well below best last time when fifth at Mackay but change of rider. Previous form sound and may be worth another chance. TIME TO TURN (8) failed to figure again last time over 5f190yards at Burrandowan, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. Cannot be left out of calculations.
