UNCONQUERABLE (5) is back from a lay-off of five-and-a-half months. Closed last prep with a fourth, beaten 4 lengths, over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Ready to run well. VANESSI (6) was an effortless maiden winner last time out over 5½f at Canterbury, scoring by 3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. ART'S ALIVE (10) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by 0.8 lengths over 5f at Kembla Grange. Fitter for that last hitout and is expected to run well again. PHOTOGRAPHICS (8) finished ninth over 6f at Kembla Grange at her most recent appearance on September 19. Among the better hopes.
