YISKA (13) improved sharply on his tenth two starts back at Scone with a win over 5½f at Rosehill three weeks ago, getting home by 2.75 lengths. Must raise the bar but another win beckons. COSMONOVA (15) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Warwick Farm, beaten 1.4 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Meeting a tougher field but with added fitness she is one of the chief contenders. MABEL (4) finished 14th, beaten 7 lengths, last time out over this course and distance after coming from an outside draw. Change of rider to Jason Collett who has an excellent strike rate when in the saddle, including two wins. Certainly one to consider. DOLLAR MAGIC (2) won at Scone two starts ago but was below her best at a more recent appearance, finishing fifth over 5½f at Canterbury. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Nicely placed to bounce back.
