SPEEDTAIL (7) was below his best last time when sixth over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic, beaten 3.5 lengths. Is yet to be beaten in two starts here. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. BULLET WING (2) is back from a break of ten weeks. Closed last campaign with a narrow defeat over 7f at Benalla. Now under the care of new trainer Ms N M Burke. Sure to make his presence felt. MONTJEUIFY (3) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second last time out over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic. Drawn to take a nice trail just off the speed. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. ALTAI RANGER (5) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside, beaten 7 lengths into tenth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
