SPORTS CHOICE (4) was in the money two starts back at Benalla but couldn't back it up last time when seventh, beaten 3 lengths, at Mornington over 6f. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. PINCHBECK (2) turned in an eye-catching run over this journey last time, settling out the back before winding up late to finish 1.1 lengths away in fourth at Mt Gambier. Warrants plenty of respect. THE GREY KING (9) produced another moderate effort last start when 9 lengths from the winner in 11th over 6f at Strathalbyn. Better than recent efforts suggest.
