FLAME TREE STAR (8) was only a head from the winner in second last time out in a small field over 5½f at this track at the first run of the campaign on soft going. Will be fitter for that run, expect a strong run. EAGLE'S FIRE (11) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Gold Coast, finishing fourth and only 0.9 lengths from the winner at the end of 5f. Nozi Tomizawa is a key engagement. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. AGED CARE (4) was too good for a maiden field last start over 5½f at Grafton, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with Bailey Wheeler who was on board last start. Harder this time but still one to consider. BRIGHT BLONDE (5) was never really a threat when resuming last start over 6f at Doomben, finishing 8 lengths from the winner in fifth. Has ability and shapes as a top-three chance.
