Nicely placed to find winning ways. MAX MERCURY (4) did well last time to finish second over 1m1f at Casterton. The extra journey should play into his hands. Expected to run well. EL SORDO (1) hasn’t been far away since a maiden win four runs back, the latest effort a second over 1m at Wangaratta on July 6. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset.
