RUN TOMMY RUN (9) broke through for his maiden win over 7f at Sapphire Coast last time, scoring comfortably. Looks well placed and he is likely to feature in the finish again. RANGATIRA (1) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a second over 6½f at Goulburn when beaten a head. Hard to beat once again. CHAMP PROFOND (11) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when she made late ground but found a couple better over 7f at Sapphire Coast, beaten 4.5 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. CLENDENNING (10) turned things around last start and got the job done by a neck over 6f87yards at Canberra Acton. Likely to be there at the finish again.
