J J VALENTIN (6) was close to breaking through last time, beaten just a nose over 6f at this track (Dirt) after being in contention on the bend. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is all set to build on that latest effort. NAVESINK PIRATE (5) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 6 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at this track. This doesn't look as hard so he is set to turn things around. CHAZ THE CHIEF (7) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when sixth, beaten 17 lengths, over 1m at this track (Dirt). Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. FROSTY SHOP (4) is a three-year-old gelding who lines up for the first time. From an elite family that includes black type success, being by Frosted from Shoppers Return. Promising type who is ready to run boldly.
