TEXAS TURBINE (6) was in the firing line all the way and fought on for second last start over 6f at this track (Dirt), making it two minor placings in a row. Will be handy in running despite the tricky draw. Likely improver with strong prospects. TAYSOM (5) was on a winning run of two races but last time out finished third over 7f at this track. This looks a winnable race. RUN SMITTY RUN (7) turned in a sub-par run last time out over 7f at Evangeline Downs (Dirt) after a nice win the start prior. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is set to turn things around. DEEP STATE (1) has not won for a long while. Last raced on July 2 when beaten 3.5 lengths into fifth at this track (Dirt) over 7f after he got a long way back in the run. Suitably placed so anticipating a bold performance.
