BRONTE DIEM (4) was in contention on the turn and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 7½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. PEARSE (7) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when tenth, beaten 12 lengths, over 7½f at Lone Star Park (Turf). Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. TIGER MAN MCKOOL (9) was tackling a turf track for the first time last start and continued a solid run of form when fifth over 7½f at Lone Star Park. Blinkers are removed. Should run well. CATHY'S BOY (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/4f at this track, beaten 8 lengths into fourth. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
