THONATUS (3) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 7f at Hobart, beaten 3 lengths. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. LYCO RECO (9) broke her maiden last start over 1m at Hobart when resuming, scoring by 0.8 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Anthony Darmanin was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Serious contender again with the confidence high. GRANITE LEGEND (8) showed good speed to lead over 1m in the LR Tasmanian Guineas at Hobart last start but faded right out of it to finish eighth. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Winning claims on best figures. MILES 'N' MILES (1) registered his first win last start over 1m at this track, getting home by a long neck. Re-unites with Chloe Wells who was on board last start. This is tougher but he is capable of another big run.
