RUBBLEONTHEDOUBLE (4) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish a neck back in third over 1m at Hobart. Likely improver with winning claims. ALPINE AFFAIR (2) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Devonport Synthetic with a win over 7f at Longford two weeks ago, getting home by 2.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Meets a stronger field but he is worth serious consideration. ALPINE BLAST (5) produced a solid effort last time when fourth over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. The extra journey should play into his hands. Expected to run well. RISING LIGHT (1) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 1m at Hobart after being in contention on the corner. Placed to advantage and can run a better race.
