QUEEN CALANTHE (8) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish third last time out over 5f at Taree. Strong effort last time and is worth following up. HOO HAA (6) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 7 lengths back in eighth over 6f at Newcastle. Rates highly and expected to go well. TOYGER (3) strode forward early from his wide draw over 5f at Quirindi last time, leading for much of the way before being claimed in the straight to finish third, beaten 0.7 lengths. Will push forward and is among the chances. JOCUND (14) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4½f at Newcastle, beaten 4.5 lengths. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
