BUBA (12) progressed nicely last start when she did her best work late to finish a close third over 7f at Warwick Farm after missing the placings at the previous appearance. This doesn't look as hard so she is one of the main contenders. CUBAN GRANCHICO (2) finished 1.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6½f at Moruya after being in the firing line on the turn two weeks ago as 7/4 favourite. Steps up in journey. Has a fine record here with three wins from eight starts. Among the leading chances. NIECES AND NEPHEWS (7) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by 1.75 lengths last time out over 1m at Goulburn. Has a formidable combination with Quayde Krogh who has been aboard for his last two wins. Should be involved in the finish. ALL MACHIAVELLIAN (5) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 7½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Another forward showing is anticipated.
