Scored at this track in a then finished second, beaten one length, over 7f at this track at the latest appearance three weeks ago. Leading contender. PHILIPSBURG (2) was safely held when ninth last time out over 1m2f at Randwick, beaten 5.5 lengths. That followed a win at Rosehill at the previous outing. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. THE CARPET BAGGER (4) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 1m2f at Rosehill. Nicely placed to figure in the finish.
