HERWORTH (5) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 1.3 lengths from the winner in second over 1m at Terang after being in contention on the corner. Ideally placed and is sure to play a major role. MEIKA TATE (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when fifth in a 1m1 1/2f contest at Mildura two-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the corner. Nicely placed to get the prize. SCODELARIO (7) hit the frame two starts ago at Mildura but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 9 lengths over 1m4f at Swan Hill after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SHEER GRUNT (8) ended up 6 lengths behind the winner in ninth on debut last start over 7½f at Geelong. Plenty of scope for improvement. Can improve.
