HEARSAY (9) improved sharply on her tenth two starts back at Mackay with a win over 7½f at Cairns a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by half a length. Finds a suitable assignment and can make it back-to-back wins. OUTBACK ACTION (1) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth, beaten 1.4 lengths, over 6f87yards at Bowen. Should park just off the speed. Capable of testing this field. FAROOQ (2) finished seventh over 7¾f at Mackay at his most recent appearance on June 5. One to consider.
