HAVLICEK (1) started at 15/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing eighth and beaten 3.5 lengths at Launceston over 7f. Hard to beat in this suitable race. ALPINE KATE (4) broke through for her maiden win last start by 2 lengths over 7f at Launceston despite being unwanted in betting. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tricky draw to overcome but she is one of the main chances. SPEED ROCK (8) took advantage of the good draw and raced on the pace last start then boxed on well to finish second, beaten a head, over 7f at Launceston. Placed to advantage and can take this out.
