PATSY'S STAR (1) proved too strong two runs ago at Ararat. Couldn't follow that up last time out when seventh over 1m2f at Seymour, beaten 11 lengths. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. TAVABEEL (5) was well beaten in harder company in a then better placed last time and finished in the money when a 6 length third over 1m4f. Finds a suitable assignment here and rates among the leading chances. DARK LEGACY (6) ran below expectations last time at Kerang, finishing eighth and beaten 9 lengths starting at 7/2. Worth noting Jake Duffy goes aboard. Finds an easier assignment and can turn things around. EL CAMPEON (10) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Moulamein, beaten 13 lengths into sixth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
