BESSON (2) finished third at Cooma two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m1f at Wagga Riverside, finishing 6 lengths back in tenth. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. STAY A WHILE (5) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish 2.25 lengths away in second over 1m2 1/2f at Moe. Ideally placed and is sure to play a major role. THE KINGS GOSPEL (1) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten one length, over 1m at Benalla when returning from a lay-off. Backmarker who gets home hard. Should be competitive. OKRA (7) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at Benalla over 1m. Finds a nice race and can get the job done.
