SYX HOTFIX (8) was prominent from the outset when fourth over 1m1/2f at this track last time out. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Will prove tough to beat. MADISON VALLEY (3) was far from disgraced when second last start over 1m at this track, beaten 0.8 lengths. That followed a win at Scottsville the start prior. Must raise the bar but he has the ability to bounce back. IBUTHO (4) scored in a at this track but was below his best last time when sixth over 1m at this track. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. EL REY VIENE (5) finished second last time over 1m at Scottsville when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 0.9 lengths. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out.
