BEST INTENT (2) finished 7 lengths adrift in seventh last time at Canterbury in a disappointing performance. Will enjoy a drop in class so she is one of the main contenders. SUPER NORWEST (7) was given a short break after finishing sixth over 5½f at Randwick. Subsequently scored a trial win at Goulburn. Rates well on best form and a bold showing is expected. CHOP THE ICE (6) ran a strong third over 6f at Wagga two runs back then was below his best last time over 7½f when seventh, beaten 6 lengths. Coming back in trip suits so should be involved in the finish. PENITENT (9) turned in a nice run when resuming at this track then wasn't too far away last time over 5f at Kembla Grange, finishing sixth and beaten 2.75 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
