APACHE JACK (5) is still a maiden after 12 starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Armidale two starts back before finishing fourth over 6¾f at Beaumont (Newcastle) last time. Finds a nice race and this might be his day. UNDER ACHIEVER (11) was in the placings when a length back from the winner last start at Wellington and is down in weight this time. Should be poised just off the lead. Likely to feature. AIRWALKER (4) ran below expectations last time at Tamworth, finishing 11th and beaten 30 lengths starting at 9/1. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. KUROSHINZO (2) showed good speed and fought on for second over 7f at Bathurst last time. Yet to break through this time in but hasn't been far away, with four placings to his name. One of the fringe hopes.
