THE WESTERN FRONT (2) finished fourth on debut then improved last start when he worked home well but found one better over 7f at Sale, beaten a head. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a major player. SHIFTER (3) was well in commission on debut last start and did a fair job to finish 2.25 lengths from the winner in third over 7f at Ballarat. Likely improver so he will prove tough to beat. SMARTICON (4) has raced twice. Was third on debut then clocked-in 4.5 lengths from the winner in seventh last time out over 7f at Sale. Strong figure from the debut is the right form reference. APPARATE (9) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, after being in contention on the turn at her latest appearance over 7f at Warrnambool. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
