Manikato Stakes winner BELLA NIPOTINA (3) is resuming from a break of three-and-a-half months for a new stable after finishing fifth over 6f in the G1 Champions Sprint at this track at her latest outing. Placed in a recent trial at Cranbourne. Goes well when fresh with two wins and three minor placings from nine starts. Expected to be in the finish. Group 1 winner PRIVATE EYE (1) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Scored over 5½f at Randwick to launch the last campaign. Has a strong when resuming record, scoring on four occasions from eight starts. One to consider. Multiple Group 2 winner CYLINDER (7) is having his first run since November 4. Goes very well when fresh - has not been out of the money in three when resuming runs and did win over 5½f at Caulfield at the start of last prep. Ran fifth in a trial at Warwick Farm over 4½f recently. One of the genuine hopes in the race.
