ROCK THE SUNRISE (3) has had two runs since a break, the latest a fifth over 6¾f at Doomben, beaten 1.75 lengths. Fitter for recent racing so he looks very hard to beat. ECCLESTONE (4) took advantage of the good draw and led for much of the way last start before being run down in the straight, finishing fourth and beaten 1.5 lengths over 1m1/2f at Ipswich. Expected to go close. RICKYTHESTEAMBOAT (8) gave away a considerable start over 6f at Sunshine Coast last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth. Outdashed but got home well and the extra ground looks a big plus. One of the main contenders. READY TO IGNITE (14) was below his best last time when seventh over 6f at Doomben, beaten 4.5 lengths. Well placed and should be thereabouts.
