ROCKRIBBED (10) ran below expectations last time at Rockhampton over 6½f, finishing tenth and beaten 5.5 lengths. Can atone for that last run. PLUNDERING (24) resumed last start over 5½f at this track and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish second, beaten 0.7 lengths. Good record at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from nine starts and is expected to feature. Group 3 placegetter HATCHET (2) was safely held last time when 15th over 6f in the LR Ramornie Handicap at Grafton against a tougher field than this. Goes well at this journey with five wins and nine placings from 15 starts and has to be included. Multiple Group 3 placegetter NANAGUI (16) finished 6 lengths behind the winner in eighth place when resuming over 6f last start at Eagle Farm. Generally goes well with that run under the belt. Should be much improved.
