Group 3 placegetter ATMOSPHERE (14) strode forward early from his wide draw over 6¾f at this track last time, leading for much of the way before being claimed in the straight to finish third, beaten 0.8 lengths. Well-placed and is going to prove tough to run down. ROCKRIBBED (9) started at 15/8 last time and ran below expectations, finishing tenth and beaten 5.5 lengths at Rockhampton over 6½f. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. Group 3 placegetter WARBY (16) has been in the placings his past two starts, finishing second over 6¾f at this track last time out. Has a decent record at this track. One of the contenders. Set Weights EET MARGOT MAY (10) ran a better race when second-up last start, finishing 2.25 lengths away in fourth over 6f at Eagle Farm. No surprise to see her in the frame.
