Leading contender. MISS MIDDLE PARK (15) drifted well back then came with a powerful run to finish 1.75 lengths from the winner in third when resuming last start over 5½f at this track. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and is a key runner. RALPHIE (3) ran below expectations last time at Sunshine Coast, finishing sixth and beaten 4 lengths starting at 5/1. Has the ability to take this out. Group 3 winner BRERETON (5) was well supported when resuming last time out over 5½f at this track and proved too strong, scoring by 0.7 lengths. Fitter for that last hitout and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
