EXCEL AND FLY (3) ran a strong second over 6f at Cranbourne two runs back then was below his best last time over 6f when eighth, beaten 2 lengths. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so can bounce back. TIZJAMMY (8) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on August 20 finishing sixth and beaten 5.5 lengths over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic. Now under the care of new trainer Dan O'sullivan. Capable of playing a major role. SIMPLE TIMES (1) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 6½f at Swan Hill. Among the better chances. MARNOO (5) scored in a at Mildura but was below his best last time when seventh over 7f at Warrnambool. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
