STEVE'S WAY (7) started at 6/1 last time on the back of a win at Wodonga two starts ago but was below her best, finishing sixth over 7f at Wangaratta. The engagement of Simon Miller is a positive move. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. CHAR (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2f at Wangaratta, beaten 9 lengths into eighth. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. FOX APPEAL (2) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 1.5 lengths away in fourth over 7f at Albury. Was outdashed but got going late and the longer journey looks ideal. Rates highly on best figures. NIC'S HERO (4) hit the frame two starts ago at Wagga but ran below par last time when 12th and beaten 5 lengths over 6f87yards at Canberra Acton. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
