DIVINE TURF (10) missed the placings when resuming recently but was not too far from the winner when fourth over 5½f at Stawell. Big chance. ALTERNATE (1) has scored at his last two starts, most recently by 5.5 lengths over 7f at Benalla as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three starts. Sure to go well again. COAST PRINCESS (4) finished tenth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6½f at Stawell, beaten 2.25 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. Lay-off. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
