REDEMPTION TIME (9) made progress last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5f at Bendigo after being prominent at the bend. Has the ability to produce another positive result. RED SPARKS (8) is returning from a lay-off of nine months. Finished fifth at Colac over 5½f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Thomas Conlan. One of the genuine hopes in the race. XUANFENG (6) was prominent at the bend and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at Bordertown, beaten a neck. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. TROUVE (5) stepped out for his debut over 5½f at Hamilton back on September 16 and finished fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths. Plenty of scope for improvement.
