CROSSOVERKID (10) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Flemington two starts back before finishing seventh over 1m1f at Caulfield last start. This looks his chance to break through. CUSTOM OF THE SEA (3) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish 1.3 lengths away in second over 1m3f at Ararat. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. BREMEN (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m4 3/4f at Pakenham, beaten only 0.8 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. UPWOODS (8) boxed on fairly last time over 1m4f at Geelong, finishing second and not too far from the winner. Having first try over the journey and can sneak in the finish at odds.
