NO SURRENDER (5) had been racing consistently, finishing in the money three races on end, until finishing tenth as favourite last time out over 1m at Pimlico. Generally performs well here and has registered four minor placings. Expected to be in the finish. SHAKIN THE BELLE (2) is a seven-start maiden who is close to a win following two recent minor placings, the latest when third over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Finds a nice assignment and this might be his day. UNAFFECTED (6) finished a 11 length eighth when resuming two runs back on a dirt track at this track over 1m. Followed that up with an unplaced effort on turf at Parx over 1m1/4f. Strong contender back on the dirt. HOURS IN A DAY (1) finished 26 lengths from the winner in eighth at his most recent appearance over 1m1/2f at Saratoga (Turf) after he gave away a big start. Worth plenty of thought.
