Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson should progress at the World Matchplay this evening and form a nice double.
We're backing Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson to find a way through their second-round matches at Winter Gardens this evening.
Gerwyn Price vs Joe Cullen
The Welshman breezed past Bunting in the first round, beating him 10-3 and recording an average of 97.
He looked calm and assured and like he had more gears to shift into if necessary, but it wasn't. It was an ominous start for the rest of the field.
Joe Cullen is a major threat to Price's title challenge but he isn't matching him in the averages or the checkout this year.We're not expecting the Iceman to bow out at this stage.
Although the Rockstar should contribute to an entertaining game full of trebles, Price should win but the odds aren't valuable.

Daryl Gurney vs Gary Anderson
Daryl Gurney and Gary Anderson have been involved in some thrilling contests and it's the former who has dominated the TV meetings.
Anderson was far from his best in the first round and you'd expect him to improve given the fantastic average he's produced in 2023.
However, Gurney isn't going to be a pushover. He may struggle to match Anderson's maximum scoring but he'll chip away and take his chances.
His price may seem enticing but the deterring factor is knowing he'll need to play well above his 2023 average while hoping Anderson dips for a second game in a row.
There's no real point in backing Anderson alone and the same could be said for Price against Cullen. So why not throw them together?
