Home hope Emma Raducanu follows Alcaraz onto Centre Court with her clash against No 22 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Coco Gauff rounds off the opening day's Centre Court order of play when she faces Caroline Dolehide.

Wimbledon men's singles: Alex Bolt vs Casper Ruud

Alex Bolt and No 8 seed Casper Ruud open up Court No 3 on Monday with the Norwegian able to match his best performances at Wimbledon with a win.

Australian journeyman Bolt might fancy that he has enjoyed some luck in getting drawn against a seeded player who struggles on grass.

This will be the first ever meeting between these players with world No 234 Bolt largely playing in lower level events these days.

Bolt came through qualifying to get into the main draw and has a lot more matches on grass than Ruud who hasn't played on the surface at all ahead of Wimbledon and is in action for the first time since Roland Garros but then he is a player who thinks grass is for football and golf.

Wimbledon men's singles: Aleksandar Kovacevic vs Daniil Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev has the honour of opening up Court No 1 on Monday when he faces Aleksandar Kovacevic.

Neither player has played a lot on grass this term with each involved in two matches in the build-up with Medvedev winning one and losing one while Kovacevic suffered a pair of losses.

Medvedev doesn't love grass but has improved on the surface in recent seasons.

It seems that he has a big edge over his opponent to start but he will want to be clinical and not spend too much time on court in the opening round.

Wimbledon men's singles: Carlos Alcaraz vs Mark Lajal

Another player who will want to make quick work of his first-round opponent is Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz has been accused of exerting himself excessively in pursuit of lost points while others praise his never-say-die attitude.

Lajal came through qualifying to reach this stage but his extra time on grass courts is unlikely to help him in this battle.

Alcaraz should take this in straight sets if everything goes to expectation in this first match on Centre Court.

Wimbledon men's singles: Jannik Sinner vs Yannick Hanfmann

The world No 1 starts on Court No 1 with an afternoon match against German Yannick Hanfmann.

Hanfmann is a tricky player to face on grass but Sinner's serve looked dialled in at Halle, his only warmup tournament.

Sinner leads the head-to-head between these players 1-0 having already beaten him in the opening round of a Grand Slam at last season's US Open.

While Sinner is on a five-match winning streak, Hanfmann has lost in his last two outings so form suggests this could be a one-sided contest.

Wimbledon women's singles: Emina Bektas vs Aryna Sabalenka

No 3 seed and title favourite Aryna Sabalenka starts her campaign in the second match on Court No 1 following Medvedev out onto the show court when she takes on unheralded American Emina Bektas.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the players and a chance for Sabalenka to build some momentum after an indifferent grass swing.

Sabalenka hasn't played since a retirement in Berlin where Bektas failed to qualify.

Bektas also hasn't been in action over the same period and as such holds no edge over the world No 3.

Wimbledon women's singles: Naomi Osaka vs Diane Parry

Naomi Osaka and Diane Parry will battle it out in the third match of the day on Court No 2.

Former No 1 Osaka doesn't have a great record at Wimbledon having never been beyond the third round.

Parry's best performance at Wimbledon is also reaching the round of 32 but Osaka is counted among the top draws for the event this year.

Osaka has targeted improved performance on clay and grass this season with much of her past success coming on hard courts.

Wimbledon women's singles: Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Emma Raducanu

Emma Raducanu will be hoping the home crowd gives her a boost when she faces Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Alexandrova will be the heavy favourite considering the recent records of the two players even if Raducanu has been much improved in the last few weeks.

There is no head-to-head record to speak of between these two players who have never met in singles competition.

They have similar records through in the grass swing with Alexandrova holding a 5-3 win-loss ratio on the surface this term while Raducanu is 4-2.

Wimbledon women's singles: Caroline Dolehide vs Coco Gauff

Coco Gauff gets her Wimbledon tilt underway when she faces Caroline Dolehide on Centre Court on the first afternoon of the event.

This will be the third clash between these two players and their first meeting on grass.

Gauff has won both of those prior clashes and starts as one of the favourites for a deep run at Wimbledon.

Gauff has put Dolehide away in straight sets in both of their previous meetings but those matches were decided by tight margins even if that doesn't reflect in the scoreline.
