Wimbledon men's singles: Carlos Alcaraz vs Frances Tiafoe

Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe will open up Centre Court in what could be an intriguing clash of styles.

Each owns a win over the other on their respective turf after Tiafoe beat Alcaraz in Barcelona in 2021 before the Spaniard defeated his American rival on his way to winning the 2022 US Open.

Tiafoe picked up an injury at Queen's and this match will test how well he has recovered from that.

Alcaraz has proven his fitness but whether he is in shape for a tough campaign in five-set tennis remains to be seen.

Wimbledon men's singles: Jannik Sinner vs Miomir Kecmanovic

Jannik Sinner and Miomir Kecmanovic will square off in the third round of Wimbledon for what will be the fourth time in their careers overall.

Sinner has won all three of the previous meetings between the players but they will be contesting their first-ever meeting on grass at Wimbledon on Friday.

Kecmanovic hasn't had too many chances to play on Centre Court and will have to relish the occasion rather than be overawed by it.

For Sinner, it is important that he builds momentum and also puts the Serb away as soon as possible.

Wimbledon men's singles: Tommy Paul vs Alexander Bublik

Tommy Paul will have to find a way to counter the powerful serve of Alexander Bublik.

This will be the fifth clash between the players and while Paul has won three of those it is Bublik who holds a victory in their solitary grass court meeting.

The last time that they faced each other, Paul won 6-7(5) 6-3 6-1 in the second round in Rotterdam back in 2021.

Paul has played nine sets of tennis across two matches while Bublik has notched eight as he followed up a five-set opener with a straight-sets win.

Wimbledon men's singles: Jan-Lennard Struff vs Daniil Medvedev

Jan-Lennard Struff is chasing his third win over Daniil Medvedev in nine meetings when they round off the Centre Court action on Friday.

Medvedev has been prepared to grind to get past his opponents but that strategy could leave him fatigued.

Struff has spent nearly as much time on court this week as Medvedev though and both players could take this match deep.

Struff hasn't beaten Medvedev since 2021 and the Russian has since become a better player on grass.

Wimbledon women's singles: Jasmine Paolini vs Bianca Andreescu

Jasmine Paolini is among the WTA Tour's most improved players this season and starts her clash with former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu as the clear favourite.

Andreescu put up a fight when they met in Paris last month but Paolini swept to victory in the end and blanked the Canadian in the third set.

The Italian No 1 will want to channel that final set performance but will also have to find a counter to Andreescu's power advantage.

Paolini has enjoyed good results on grass and is having a great season, while Wimbledon is this open she will not want to drop her game.

Wimbledon women's singles: Daria Kasatkina vs Paula Badosa Gibert

Daria Kasatkina and Paula Badosa will clash for the fifth time in their careers and head into the match locked at 2-2.

Kasatkina has enjoyed a great grass court season and is on a seven-match winning streak on the surface.

Badosa is yet to prove that she has fully recovered from the back spasms that have plagued her career over the last 18 months.

Badosa won the last meeting between these players, but they have never met on grass.

Wimbledon women's singles: Sonay Kartal vs Coco Gauff

Coco Gauff plays another 'up-and-comer' who is older than her when she takes on 22-year-old world No. 298 Sonay Kartal.

The quality of player that Kartal has beaten on her run so far should give Gauff some pause for thought.

Kartal has come through qualifying and defeated Clara Burel and Sorana Cirstea in the main draw to reach the last 32.

Gauff has eased through both her matches in quick fashion, spending just over two hours on court in total to reach this stage against over eight hours for Kartal.

Wimbledon women's singles: Emma Raducanu vs Maria Sakkari

Emma Raducanu's dream run might be coming to an end as she lines up to face Maria Sakkari for the first time since beating the Greek No 1 in the 2021 US Open semi-final.

Sakkari might not have full-blooded vengeance on her mind but she also won't be standing on ceremony for the home hope.

Raducanu has shown encouraging signs over the grass swing and will have her fans hoping she can reach the second week of a Grand Slam for the second time.

This is the fourth time that Sakkari has reached Wimbledon's third round but she is yet to progress beyond this stage.
