Wimbledon men's singles: Taylor Fritz vs Alexander Zverev

Taylor Fritz and Alexander Zverev are set to contest their ninth career singles meeting and third clash at Wimbledon.

Zverev leads the head-to-head 5-3 and has also won both of their meetings at Wimbledon although the most recent of those was back in 2021.

The German has played fewer games than Fritz in this Wimbledon run but spent more time on court so we know he is willing to battle hard to stay in every game.

Fritz might be doing a better job of conserving energy but he isn't likely to overawe Zverev with his serve.

Wimbledon men's singles: Holger Rune vs Novak Djokovic

Holger Rune may have two wins in five against Novak Djokovic and hold two Masters series wins over the Serbian but the world No 2 has beaten the Dane in both their Grand Slam clashes.

Rune has never faced Djokovic on grass and that might be the deciding factor.

Grass is the weakest surface for Rune at this stage of his career although he has shown promising signs in this run.

Rune is capable of the upset but he will need to be really dialled in and clinical to get it done.

Wimbledon men's singles: Arthur Fils vs Alex de Minaur

Arthur Fils is chasing his first Wimbledon quarter-final and will face a man he has beaten before in Alex de Minaur.

Fils bested De Minaur on clay in Barcelona earlier this season and has played some superb grass court tennis so far.

However, he faces a relatively fresh De Minaur who progressed through the Round of 32 via walkover.

That means that De Minaur has spent fully three hours less on court last week and should have the legs over Fils.

Wimbledon men's singles: Lorenzo Musetti vs Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

Lorenzo Musetti stands in the way of a dream last-eight berth for young Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

Musetti beat the 21-year-old in Stuttgart earlier in the grass swing but did so via a pair of tiebreak wins.

It may prove that Musetti's experience carries him through but he looks set to have an epic battle on his hands.

We wouldn't be surprised to see this one go the distance and take it to five sets.

Wimbledon women's singles: Elena Rybakina vs Anna Kalinskaya

Elena Rybakina has a target on her back now as she prepares to face Anna Kalinskaya in the last 16.

Rybakina is the clear favourite of the players remaining in the field but that brings with it pressure.

Kalinskaya will have no such pressure having enjoyed a good run to the last 16.

The Russian has already notched her best performance at Wimbledon and any more good results will just be a bonus.

Wimbledon women's singles: Yulia Putintseva vs Jelena Ostapenko

After stunning Iga Swiatek last time out Yulia Putintseva sets her sights on taking out another Grand Slam winner in Jelena Ostapenko.

Ostapenko will be a different prospect to Swiatek though as she will answer fire with fire.

This rivalry has been a back-and-forth one with each player winning two of their four meetings.

They haven't met since their 2021 clash at Indian Wells where Putintseva came out on top.

Wimbledon women's singles: Danielle Collins vs Barbora Krejcikova

Danielle Collins is chasing her first win over Barbora Krejcikova but has enjoyed a great season so far and that form makes her the favourite.

Collins is 39-11 across the season so far, notching some impressive match wins along the way.

Krejcikova has endured a disrupted season and has played far less but she is a dangerous player in a Grand Slam environment.

Collins was impressive in putting away Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia in the previous round and should keep her momentum going.

Wimbledon women's singles: Elina Svitolina vs Xinyu Wang

Elina Svitolina may have caused an upset last time out but she will be out to avoid one when she meets Xinyu Wang for the first time.

Svitolina has played very good crass court rivals in each round and that preparation should stand her in good stead.

Wang stunned Jessica Pegula in the second round to fire her own warning shots at Wimbledon.

Svitolina cannot afford to lose focus now that she is in position to be the favourite.
