EFL Acca
Mansfield vs Colchester: Over 2.5 goals
Northampton Town vs Derby County
There are three games in League One on Saturday, which allows Derby County to pick up three points unopposed.
It won’t be enough to take them above Portsmouth, but they could extend the gap to third-placed Bolton to seven points.
Northampton are no pushover at home but their season is over and we’ve reached the stage of the season where motivation matters.
Grimsby Town vs Wrexham
Wrexham are in a strong position to seal back-to-back promotions but they’ve won six of their previous 15 games and three of 11 on their travels.
Grimsby are battling away at the opposite end of the table but they’ve avoided defeat in five of six.
The Welsh side are rarely scoring more than once on their travels in 2024 and Town have allowed three goals in their last six matches.
Stockport County vs MK Dons
If you can’t win, don’t lose. Stockport have drawn four of their last five but remain second in the table, just four points behind Mansfield.
There isn’t a single team in League Two that is consistently winning right now. MK Dons have been alternating wins and losses since November.
If that trend continues, they’re due a win. A loss could be a big blow in their push for promotion while a draw may not upset either side.
Mansfield Town vs Colchester United
There have been under 2.5 goals in Colchester’s last six matches but that isn’t representative of their season.
United’s games have averaged 3.02 goals despite that run of low-scoring matches.
On the other hand, Mansfield’s 38 matches have averaged precisely three goals and both of these teams have scored in the last six meetings here.
Doncaster Rovers vs Crewe Alexandra
Doncaster have found form through their last 10 matches and they’ve won their last three at home.
Rovers are very much safe and playing without pressure and it would be a waste to beat Tranmere, MK Dons and Crewe but slip up here.
Forest Green have enjoyed their mini-revival since binning Troy Deeney but this marks the start of a much tougher run of games.
