Fulham v Crystal Palace: FA Cup predictions and tips as Cottagers and Eagles face extra time

A weekend of FA Cup action kicks off at Craven Cottage, where Fulham play host to Crystal Palace in the lunchtime kick-off (1215 GMT), and Planet Sport is on hand with the best betting tips.
The Premier League table will show you it’s the home side who have enjoyed the better of this season, yet it was Oliver Glasner’s team who left with the points when the sides last met.
The Eagles 2-0 win in February, thanks to a Joachim Anderson own-goal and a Daniel Munoz strike, means the away team is now unbeaten in eight in this fixture.
The West Londoners won the previous meeting 2-0 at Selhurst Park but they’ve drawn two and lost three of the previous five meetings at the Cottage.
Home wins have been hard to come by in meetings across all competitions, with just six in 20 matches.
Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Fulham v Crystal Palace betting preview
The fact this fixture has largely belonged to the away side, dating back to meetings in the 1990s should have no bearing on the outcome of this match, and yet the weird patterns that football throws up can last decades.
Palace put in a thoroughly controlling performance when winning 2-0 here in the season, and they should be able to match their hosts again.
They enjoyed the better of the form before the international break, winning nine of 11 across all competitions, keeping six clean sheets on the spin away from home, including a 2-0 win at Old Trafford.
Fulham also saw off Man Utd, eventually, when winning on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup.
However, they’ve failed to win three of five in 90 minutes, a slight dropoff from their previous winning run of four in five.
Despite there being six points between the sides in the table, there’s very little between them by the numbers. Both defences have been above average, while Palace’s chance creation on the road edges Fulham’s at home.
Missing Jean-Philippe Mateta is a consideration, but that didn’t prevent them from finding a way to break down Ipswich Town in a 1-0 win last time out.
xG suggests that this game finishes 1-1 and goes to extra time, which is a theory we can get behind, given there’s very little to split the sides.
Neither team will want this to become an open game, and it’s likely we’ll see the hosts patiently control possession while the Eagles stay disciplined.
