Real Madrid vs Napoli tips and predictions: Spaniards to extend unbeaten record against Serie A

Real Madrid will play host to Napoli at Santiago Bernabeu in one of Wednesday’s standout Champions League ties.
A draw would be enough to mathematically secure the top spot in the group for Real Madrid as they hold a five-point advantage over Napoli with two matches remaining.
On the other hand, the champions of Italy also need two points to ensure qualification to the knockout rounds, as they are just four points in front of Braga.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team is unlikely to settle as they’ve maintained a perfect record so far. Madrid have won all four group-stage matches, including a 3-2 victory away at Napoli.
At home, Los Blancos have seven wins and one draw in all competitions. Their only slip-up was a goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
Overall, Real’s only defeat this season remains the 1-3 loss against Atletico in the Madrid derby.
Napoli, however, are well off the level they produced last season. They sit fourth in the Serie A table and find themselves a considerable distance behind Inter Milan and Juventus.
Walter Mazzarri’s return was a successful one as he oversaw a 2-1 win against Atalanta in Bergamo.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Elif Elmas were on the scoresheet as Gli Azzurri strengthened their grip on fourth place, moving four clear of Atalanta.
Real Madrid also managed a win last weekend, beating Cadiz 3-0. Jude Bellingham was on the scoresheet again while Rodrygo (2) put a gloss on things.
The bigger picture is that a point would really suit both teams and go a long way to ensuring Napoli join Madrid in the pot next week.
An Italian side hasn’t won here since a Mario Mandzukic double for Juve in 2018 and that run should continue, but expect the visitors to make a game of it.
