WATCH: Sergino Dest shown red card during ugly USA vs Mexico brawl

AC Milan defender Sergino Dest was sent off for violent conduct as the USA thumped Mexico in a violent clash.

Sergino Dest was one of four players sent off as the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final between USA and Mexico was marred by violence.

Weston McKennie, Cesar Montes and Gerardo Arteaga were also sent off for violent conduct. Nine players saw yellow as the USA won 3-0.

After a tussle in the corner, Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez appears to make a comment that infuriates Dest and draws a reaction.

Arteaga immediately jumped to his teammate's defence, shoving Dest in the back before thrusting his hands into his face for good measure.

Antonee Robinson, Christian Pulisic and Brendan Aaronson attempted to calm the AC Milan defender down after the incident.
