Transfer news: Wales forward Kieffer Moore swaps Bournemouth for Hull City
AFC Bournemouth forward Kieffer Moore is undergoing a medical at Hull City and is expected to complete his move tomorrow
Planet Sport understands Kieffer Moore is set to undergo a medical ahead of a transfer move from AFC Bournemouth to Hull City this week.
Moore, 31, joined Ipswich Town on loan in January and offered Kieran McKenna’s side a physical outlet, scoring seven goals in 18 appearances as they achieved promotion to the Premier League.
It’s been two years since the 6ft 5 forward was a regular starter for his parent club but now he looks set to make Yorkshire his home for a third time after spells at Rotherham and Barnsley.
The Tractors Boys held internal discussions about a potential move for Moore but decided to prioritise youth with a move for Man City’s Liam Delap.
The son of former Stoke City player Rory Delap showed bags of potential during a loan spell with the Tigers last season. His return to his parent club leaves new head coach Tim Walter short of depth.
The German is known for encouraging his players to be brave in possession and often looks to build play without overloads, so Moore’s ability to look after the ball could be a good fit.
The Welshman is expected to sign a three-year deal that will expire shortly before his 35th birthday.
His arrival will be the first of many at the MKM Stadium as the Tigers ramp up preparations for the new season with the capture of a right-back also close.
