Tottenham have moved closer to securing the services of Wolfsburg's talented defender, Micky van de Ven, for a reported £30 million.

Tottenham's hope of securing the services of Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven for approximately £30 million have grown, following recent constructive discussions.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has been eyeing the Netherlands U-21 sensation for a while now.

Van de Ven, 22, had an impressive breakout season in 2022-23, featuring in 33 Bundesliga matches for the Wolves, attracting interest from top European clubs. Despite Liverpool's earlier interest, Tottenham appear to be leading the race for the talented Dutch star.

Having been part of the Netherlands U-21 squad at the recent European Championships, where they drew all three group stage games and exited the tournament, Van de Ven's potential has caught the attention of many.
