Newcastle will hope to continue their march to the Champions League when Crystal Palace rock up to St James' Park on Wednesday night (KO 1930 BST). Can we find you some winning tips for the match?

The whole of Newcastle is flying at the moment, and I'm not just talking about people abseiling from windows during the Carabao Cup celebrations.

The cup win against Newcastle is now part of a five-game unbeaten run, that includes a hammering of Manchester United on Sunday.

Champions League qualification is very much the focus now and Newcastle are just one point clear of Manchester City, who sit in fifth place.

Even without Eddie Howe, who is recovering from pneumonia, the Toon Army look supercharged and are the form team you don't want to be meeting in a dark alley on a midweek night.

Unfortunately for Crystal Palace they are about to enter that alley, fresh from their own 5-2 kicking against Manchester City at the weekend.

The Eagles were probably mulling over a late surge for European football after four wins from the last five, but the City game has set them back.

Oliver Glasner’s side currently sits five points behind eighth-place Bournemouth, who occupy a position that may be good enough to qualify for Europe.

They'll need to come to St James' Park looking for a positive result or soon their main challenge will be trying to finish above Manchester United and Tottenham, which shouldn't be that hard.

Here we put together some of the best bets for Newcastle's clash with Crystal Palace, which when put into a bet builder will draw in odds of around 40/1.

Newcastle v Crystal Palace bet builder

Both teams to score - 6/10

Crystal Palace: Draw no bet - 13/5

Murphy score or assist - 15/8

Will Hughes yellow card - 13/5

    Both teams to score

Palace scored two against City in a lopsided defeat at the weekend, so it’s peculiar that the bookmakers think there’s a fair chance they draw a blank.

Newcastle have conceded in six of seven at home, Palace have scored in 14 of 15 away games.

Both teams have scored in six of seven matches at St James’ Park, where Newcastle have scored 34 goals in 13 matches.

    Crystal Palace: Draw no bet

As per usual, Crystal Palace are value on the road. They’ve been tough to beat this season, avoiding defeat in 13 of their previous 15 competitive away matches, winning away to Aston Villa, Brighton, Fulham, and Man Utd, among others.

Newcastle’s winning run has to end at some point, and this is where they might have a bit of an off day.

The reverse fixture at Selhurst Park finished in a 1-1 draw.

Murphy score or assist - 15/8

Jacob Murphy is one of the unsung heroes of Newcastle's season.

Everyone talks about Mo Salah, Bukayo Saka and Bruno Fernandes when it comes to assists, but only the Egyptian (18) has more than Murphy (10).

Murphy scored twice against Leicester and picked up assists against Manchester United, Brentford and in the cup final against Liverpool, so is in a rich vein of form and worth another punt here.

Will Hughes yellow card - 13/5

There might be some value in Will Hughes collecting a booking, as he's not shy of going in the ref's little black book.

He's been booked 10 times in 26 appearances this season, four more than last season and he's played fewer games.

Newcastle's midfield is very combative and Hughes will attempt to match them whether he starts or comes off the bench.
