Man Utd confirm loan move as Donny van de Beek heads to the Bundesliga
Manchester United revealed midfielder Donny van de Beek will spend the remainder of the season on loan in Germany.
The 26-year-old will head to Eintracht Frankfurt where he will play for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
The Dutchman made just two appearances for United this season across all competitions.
Van de Beek will be hoping for more playing time in Germany as he joins a Frankfurt side which currently sits sixth in the Bundesliga.
As well as the domestic competition, the club also face a big Europa Conference League play-off clash with Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in February.
Since joining United from Ajax back in 2020, the former Ballon d’Or nominee has made 62 appearances for the club, scoring two goals in the process.
During 2022, the midfielder also played seven matches for Everton during a loan spell at Goodison Park.
Van de Beek famously helped Ajax reach the Champions League semi-final in 2019. The Dutch champions were ultimately knocked out by Tottenham.
The 26-year-old also boasts 19 caps for the Netherlands, scoring three goals along the way.
