Liverpool near personal terms with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham - report
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has reportedly selected Liverpool as his next destination, according to German publication Sport Bild.
German media claims that the 19-year-old Bellingham's family and agent have told clubs wanting to sign the England star that they are conducting "advanced talks" with Liverpool, who are being given priority for now.
Sport Bild adds that Bellingham's connections have "agreement in principle" with the Reds and have brushed off Real Madrid and Manchester City's interest in signing the youngster.
Bellingham's camp has reportedly been given assurances by Jurgen Klopp's coaching regime that the 19-year-old would anchor Liverpool's midfield and is a guaranteed starter.
The huge transfer fee is seen as the only obstacle in the deal happening. Dortmund wants 150-million Euros for Bellingham.
In the latest Transfermarkt listings Bellingham's estimated market worth is 100-million Euros and this is the figure the Fenway Sports Group, under American investor Mike Gordon, are willing to pay to get the player to Merseyside.
Bellingham's stock rose significantly after being selected for England's 2022 World Cup squad in Qatar.
He scored England's first goal of the tournament against Iran in the opening group game. It was Bellingham's first international goal.
